Food Recovery Network
The Food Recovery Network started in 2011 at the University of Maryland. After several chapters were founded in the following years, the Sodexo Foundation provided the national organization with the funding it require to have a permanent staff and allowed it to fund individual chapters. Since then, it has expanded to have more than 230 chapters and has recovered over 2 million pounds of food.
