Feed the Pack
The Feed the Pack Food Pantry is a solution the food insecurity on the NCSU campus. “The mission of the Feed the Pack Food Pantry at NC State is to help meet the food needs of all members of the NC State community with dignity and respect.” The idea of an on-campus pantry was contemplated until after the spring of 2012 and a leadership board was created to run the pantry. The pantry was originally worked from Harrelson hall, then moved to Carmichael gym, then moved to where it currently presides in Broughton hall. It opened for the first time in November of 2012 and has now given out over 30,000 pounds of food.

Challenges Faced
The main issue that the Feed the Pack pantry is facing is finding a way to get all of the food insecure students to go to them. Many people may feel like they don't want help from the pantry, and a large portion of people do not even know of its existence. Another issue for the pantry is seeking out volunteers. They have yet to find a good way to find students that are willing to work for Feed the Pack without looking through other student organizations.
